Brookstone Wealth Management in 2026: Together in Wealth, Health, and Family

by | Apr 22, 2026 | News & Announcements

At Brookstone, we believe that your financial plan is more than a spreadsheet listing assets and liabilities. It’s your life’s work, your family legacy, and the roadmap to achieving your dreams.

Because we handle something as precious as your financial security, our partnership should be a two-way street. Our advisors are people with their own families, responsibilities, and goals. This human element is the key to helping us understand your journey and create the long-lasting partnerships that make our firm a fixture in Columbus.

In the spirit of partnership, we are pleased to share a little about how our lives and careers changed in 2025, as well as how we plan to continue growing and improving in 2026. Each new step in our lives helps us better understand our clients – both their joys and their struggles – and we are continuously improving to better serve you.

A Season of Growth: New Beginnings in Our Office

The summer of 2025 was a whirlwind of joy for our team, with all three of our members welcoming new additions to their families within a few weeks. Tonya’s granddaughter, Aaliyah, was born on August 5th, then Abby’s son, Carter, followed on August 18th. Just a few weeks later, Tami welcomed her newest granddaughter, Adeline, on September 3rd.

These happy additions served as reminders of what we do – help our clients build legacies that span generations. We are thrilled and humbled to undertake the responsibilities of raising the next generation, while carefully planning for the future.

Navigating the “Sandwich Generation”

While we celebrated new life in 2025, we also experienced the reality of life’s challenges. Tami, in particular, continued to navigate the complexities of caring for aging parents while simultaneously embracing the joys of being a grandmother.

This dual focus puts Tami in the “sandwich generation” – a term for those providing care for both the older and younger members of their families. This new phase of her life is one of many that has helped her empathize with the challenges that her clients face.

She says, “every chapter of my life has served as a learning experience in how to better serve my clients. Navigating divorce, single parenting, finding new love, building a business, helping my husband sell his business, and now managing the care of aging parents has allowed me to step into my clients’ shoes at every turn.”

First-hand knowledge of life’s biggest changes and opportunities allow our firm to foster stronger relationships with clients, built on the foundation of shared experiences. We can also bring empathy to difficult situations, along with gentle reminders to find joy even in the midst of struggles and celebrate the victories.

Our Building Is Growing: Health Meets Wealth

Another exciting development in 2025 was the addition of Renee Griner, DNP, FNP-C, to our building. Her practice, Intentional Terrain, brings new life into our space and we are thrilled that our clients can handle their wealth planning and health planning in the same location.

After all, health and wealth are two sides of the same coin. What good is a well-funded retirement if you don’t have the vitality to enjoy it? Hopefully, our clients won’t need to answer that question. Intentional Terrain’s close proximity to our firm further fosters an environment to plan for holistic well-being that includes healthy habits for your body and wallet.

Later this year, we’ll be opening our doors to celebrate our partnership – where health and wealth come together to support the life you’re building. We’ll be sharing more details about this event and our partnership in the coming months, so stay tuned.

Growing Our Education and Abilities

Over the past year, our team has also undertaken new educational and professional development, and we are pleased to share our accomplishments with you. We plan to continue our focus on the issues that matter most to your financial plan, so we can better serve you in the future.

Abby: Advancing Financial Knowledge and Client Support

Abby earned her Financial Planning Qualified Professional™ [FPQP™] certification in 2025. This educational program provides a foundation in personal finance including retirement, tax, investments, and insurance.

While Abby will continue to serve as our Director of First Impressions, this designation allows her to provide deeper support in the financial planning process. She plans to continue expanding her knowledge in the new year while serving our clients.

Tonya: On The Path to CFP®

Building on her years of experience, Tonya is beginning her formal journey toward becoming a CFP® professional. This rigorous educational program will certify her understanding of financial planning, as well as her familiarity with the latest industry standards.

Tami: Deepening Knowledge in Key Areas

In addition to maintaining her CFP® certification, Tami is expanding her focus to address the most pressing concerns of clients. She is currently studying:

  • Social Security optimization – maximizing benefits for near-retirement clients.
  • Navigating Medicare – helping clients avoid costly mistakes.
  • Women’s financial planning – addressing longevity and issues specific to women.

Tami also pushed her physical limits in 2025 by competing in a DEKA competition with her daughter, Carsen. This challenge was a testament to the idea that we should never stop challenging ourselves, both professionally and personally.

Supporting Our Community

While our focus is always on our clients, we also believe in being active members of our community and helping those experiencing hardship. Earlier this year, Tonya organized a drive for Hope Harbor Auxiliary Board – a nonprofit that provides shelter for women and children who have experienced family violence. We collected pillows, towels, and washcloths for those in need, and we are so grateful for the success of the drive.

We also continue annual contributions on behalf of clients to local nonprofits that support our community. One of these is Feeding the Valley – a local food bank that helps more than 12,000 families per month access the food they need.

Our firm will be continuing contributions to local charities and hosting another drive for Hope Harbor next year. We hope you’ll join us in supporting these important causes.

Looking Ahead To 2026 and Beyond

In 2027, we will celebrate 10 years in business. As we build on that upcoming celebration and move into the new year, our mission remains the same – to support our clients as they navigate life’s ups and downs. We may have a few more sleepless nights thanks to the infants in our lives, but we are more energized than ever to help you succeed.

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our clients for their support and friendship as our families and business expanded in 2025. We are also grateful to those of you who have introduced us to friends, family, and colleagues. These introductions are the highest compliment, and we remain dedicated to being a resource for you and your loved ones in the years to come.
