Brookstone Wealth Management Update on Growth in 2023

by | Jan 29, 2024 | News & Announcements

The Brookstone team had an exciting year in 2023. Our families grew, we moved to a new location, and we set plans in motion to bring even more valuable services to our clients. We are excited to share all that we accomplished last year with you and to continue to serve you in the new year.

2023: A Year of New Beginnings

Last year was full of change for the Brookstone team, both personally and professionally. We experienced wonderful additions to our families and hardships that helped us better understand our clients. We also took steps to better serve our clients in the future that we’d like to share.

The Brookstone Family Grew and Flourished

Our team grew in 2023 with the addition of Abby Warren in March. Abby quickly became an integral part of the Brookstone family as she served as our Director of First Impressions. She and her husband, Tyler, were also blessed with the birth of a daughter in October. We were thrilled to share in their happiness as they welcomed baby Charlotte into the world.

Our founder, Tami, also experienced a wonderful and significant shift in her family life. Her daughter, Carsen, and her husband, Tyler, welcomed their first child in December 2022 – making Tami a grandmother for the first time!

Tami and her long-time partner, Wally, also celebrated their engagement in April. They will be saying their “I-do’s” on February 24, 2024. Both Tami and Wally are excited for the new chapter of their lives and are wondering why they didn’t tie the knot sooner!

Our newest Associate Advisor, Tonya Williams, was also blessed to experience the joys of family in 2023. Her children continue to flourish and are the apples of her eye. Tonya’s granddaughter turned 2 and is doing amazing things daily! We are so thankful to have Tonya on our team each and every day.

Personal Challenges Helped Us Better Understand Our Clients

While many wonderful things happened in our personal lives last year, there were difficulties as well. In particular, Tami lost several loved ones and dealt with the challenges of caring for aging parents.

Tami’s fiancé, Wally, also had an accident at the end of April – just a few weeks after their engagement – which required a total hip replacement. Thankfully, Wally has fully recovered and is doing well! They like to joke that they started April with the sweet bang of engagement and ended with another bang – literally.

Although these times were hard, they gave Tami a new perspective on the challenges that her clients face, particularly with the loss of loved ones, managing estates, and caring for parents and spouses. This new perspective will provide first-hand knowledge she can use to help her clients through similar circumstances.

We Put Down Roots in A New Building

As our current clients already know, we purchased a new building in 2023. It is conveniently located to help us better serve our clients while providing plenty of space for our growing team.

If you haven’t visited our new space yet, we hope you’ll join us for an open house later this year. We plan to host it in the second half of 2024 to welcome our clients and community into our new space.

We Continued to Serve Our Clients

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to help many new clients enter the world of retirement last year. Our team helped these clients live their dreams of travel, purchase new homes, and afford the luxury of time spent with grandchildren. To do this, we made sure our clients were comfortable with the transition to retirement, listened to their fears, and assured them that they had the tools to excel in this new chapter of life.

2024: Building On Our Success – And Yours!

While 2023 was a year of change both professionally and personally, we are planning to keep the momentum going in the new year. To do this, we plan to expand our team and fill our new office with professionals that will benefit our clients.

Continuing to Grow the Brookstone Team

Unfortunately, Abby will be leaving Brookstone in early February so that her husband can be closer to work, and they can spend more time as a family. We are so sad to see her go but grateful for the time that we had her and excited to see what new opportunities she has in store.

We will be looking for a replacement in the coming months and hope to continue growing the Brookstone team. Whoever we choose to replace Abby will have big shoes to fill – her feet may be small, but her ability is mighty!

Expanding Our Office to Include Professionals That Will Benefit Our Clients

In addition to growing the Brookstone team, we have a vision to grow our new building into a “lifestyle office” that includes professionals that can help assist our clients. We are currently seeking a local CPA, estate attorney, and insurance professional to fill the spaces in our building. Our clients have noted that they need these professionals in addition to the financial planning that Brookstone offers.

We hope that having a strong group of professionals under the same roof will help our clients get all the services they need to reach their financial goals. If you know of an independent CPA, attorney or insurance representative seeking space to lease or wanting to grow their business, please put them in touch with us!

Financial Education is At the Forefront of Our Mission

At Brookstone, we believe that education is key to financial success. That’s why we will continue to share articles that help our clients and future clients with the financial issues that are important to them.

Our founder, Tami, also plans to start a podcast in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2024. She hasn’t settled on a name yet, but the premise will be helping listeners overcome fear and become fabulous at any stage of life. Tami started this project with the goal of helping listeners turn their dreams into a reality through careful planning and partnership.

We Are Continuously Thankful for Our Clients

As we enter the new year, all of us at Brookstone Wealth Management would like to thank our clients for another great year. As a token of our appreciation for your continued support, we donated to Feeding the Valley on behalf of our clients at the end of the year.

We are excited to continue working with our team in Birmingham to manage our client portfolios and provide interactive financial advice through our unique wealth management program, Financial Fingerprint™. We use this program to help you bring it all together and work with you to live out your dreams.

Our motto for the year is: Dream. Plan. Do!
